Powder Coat Process
- Sandblasting: The metal product is first sandblasted to a white finish. The fine sand creates rough profile that helps the powder bond to the metal. It also removes any impurities on the sign including rust, oil spots, old paint, etc.
- Priming: After the product is sandblasted, an epoxy primer is applied. It is then baked to 400 degrees to melt the primer into the sign. This adds an additional layer against harsh weather conditions.
- Powder Coating: Lastly, the metal sign is powder coated via an electrostatic spray gun. The laser cut metal product is then baked to a durable, smooth finish. The powder coat provides a high-quality finish that will last for years and years to come.
